RE: Netter's
I happened to pick up a Netter's on a ridiculous sale offer and had a gift card for Amazon at the time, so I grabbed it over the winter break before my first semester of undergrad A&P. As a student in the course I used Netter's only as an extra reference and any cheap anatomy atlas bought used off Amazon would have been more than adequate. I was a little miffed with myself for spending money so much earlier than I really needed to but then I was invited to apply to TA the lab. As a TA I used it and my course text for the refreshing of content in brief, for showing students alternate views that would illustrate a point (the version I got is for Kindle on the iPad and has some videos included), and got ideas for sourcing some test/quiz material. If you aren't planning to go for lab TA, I'd talk to your A&P folks and see if the text comes bundled with an atlas. If it does, you'll likely be well covered for undergrad; if it doesn't, really, just pick up a cheapy from a used bookstore or Amazon. I bought review materials for the MCAT and so think I didn't use it at all for MCAT review.
