Does anyone know of any online materials that I can use to review for the GRE? If my studying pans out, I will take it at the end of August.
I tried to download the practice one on the ETS site but it won't run or open on either of my computers and I DID read the download and installation instructions. Any ideas?
Thanks!

I found this site to be incredibly helpful. It has the vocab words and definitions from various GRE books, such as the 5000 vocab word list from Barron's, in formats that are easy to print out.

Also, Kaplan offers free in person (paper) tests, as well as short 1-2 hour review courses. It's nice to take a proctored exam to see how you do outside of your home environment.

Kaplan also has a free online test...

...as does Peterson's.

Nah!

I was doing sample tests and questions for the EPPP.

I found THIS site that had some intersting stuff. I've been told there are plenty of good materials out there for the EPPP, so I won't be buying their flashcards, but they have some good preview stuff to play with.

If you had to choose one guidebook to study for the GRE exam, which would you choose? And what about the flash cards that are out there for sale for $40, are they worth it? Many thanks!!

I thought the Kaplan book was great (it is worth your while to do EVERYTHING on the cd they give you...it will get you use to taking the exam on the computer). I looked at the other books in the store and can't really remember why I chose one over the other (it has been awhile!). Maybe someone more recent can give a rundown of the stuff out there.

Ok thanks a lot!!

Anyone else has any feedback on the Decks, like if you don't have enough time to go through a book, would the decks be enough?

No, I don't think so. There really are no shortcuts to studying for the GRE... you kind of just have to do it. Sorry! haha

I'm pretty sure the Princeton Review site has a free practice test.

Pay for flashcards? Bah! Make your own! 🙂

Allright, thanks again for the feedback. Point well taken, no shortcuts ha ha.
