Hi Guys,

I'm a total newbie at applying for vet schools, so here is a pretty stupid question:

For the GRE requirement, I just checked out the GRE test overview. Apparently there is the "GRE Subject Test" and "GRE General Test". Do Veterinary schools usually require the GRE subject test or the GRE general test?

Thanks a lot!!

Most schools require just the General Test. However, I think there are a couple that require Biology Subject Test. All of the schools I applied to (UC Davis, Penn, CSU, Purdue, and WSU) only required the General Test as did the other ones I considered but did not end up applying to.

I know UGA requires the GRE Biology test.

Ohio State requires the general test.

I know UGA requires the GRE Biology test.

I discovered that AFTER I applied *waves bye bye to that application cost* 👎

The Admissions Committee for the College of Veterinary Medicine has carefully reviewed the records of applicants for the Fall of 2008. During the review we found that we did not receive your Biology Subject test score(s) by our December 31, 2007 deadline. Thus your application is incomplete and will not be considered further. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your interest in our college.

I did that too! Well, last year, and at OK State. *facepalm* What a dork I am.
