In your expereinces, have the "average" GRE scores for a school been competitive? That is, do you need to be higher than the average for them to be good enough?
I ask because I am applying to Penn Vet, with a 3.7 GPA earned at a well-known top tier university and GRE scores of quant 760 and verbal 560. I think I might be able to do better on verbal, but know that is where my quant score will peak (the best I ever did on PowerPrep was 700 quant 620 verbal, so I think I just had a good day).
I have enough time to take it again, but a woman at Penn told me they take the best overall score and do not split test days to make the highest score. What would you do if you were me? What would you do if the scores were reversed (760 verbal, 560 quant)?
Thanks in advance 🙂
