So I took the GRE around August and received a 3.5 AW. A few schools that I am looking into require/prefer a 4.0 on the AW. I plan on taking the GRE again in late september.

My question is, should I still submit my August GRE scores now in order for the schools to begin setting up possible interviews? Or should I wait till I receive my Sept scores? I did submit my GRE scores to 4 schools as it was free after completing the GRE. I was able to get interviews despite the 3.5 AW scoring. My other stats are pretty strong, I think.

anyone else have advice? I just don't want schools to make their decision based on my first score. Will they be able to see that I have another GRE exam scheduled?

I have read on a couple of school dpt websites in their faq's to submit the first GRE score, but tell them you are retaking it and when. When you retake it, submit the new scores to them. I can't remember which school website it was though.

I agree that you should put in your first scores, but also fill out the date that you plan to retake it so that schools will know your plans.
