Hey guys, I took the GRE once this past summer..ended up doing quite horribly. I got the princeton review book and memorized their hit parade words..but only a few words from that list even showed up! (literally like 3 words!!) I was really really upset and angry! Verbal is by far my weak area..so I was wondering is there another, more comprehensive list? It's a tad impossible to memorize the dictionary..haha.

Thanks a lot for your help!

get the barron's 5000 word master list.
memorize every one.. those hit lists are a joke. 300 words? vs 5000?
i got 760 on my verbal and i didn't learn to speak English until I was 13..
read economists, a lot and listen to NPR every moment you are in the car

Is there any way to get that master list online? I've searched so many sites - but couldn't find any. Did you find it online or just get the book?

I suggest getting a flashcard program
I have the deck (I think) on iFlash if you have that program or use a mac. iFlash is like 15 dollars.
If there is a book, you might as well get the book, but I just downloaded a deck from the iFlash deck share

When I was taking the GRE, i was like "Oh, I know that word" .. There wasn't a word that I didn't know, and when the "do you wanna know your score" popped up, i was like "what?? I'm done?"

When you are well prepared, it's not hard at all. Good luck.

Also, this is not exactly the correct forum for the GRE though.. not too many people on this forum has taken it or has any interest in taking it?
