If you get a chance, go to your nearest Barnes & Nobles and pick up the latest issue of Wired (orange cover). It's got a great multipage article about an Anesthesiologist with the Army basically about doing blocks in battlefield trauma/emergency surgery settings, as well as blocks for phantom limb and other post-trauma things. Pretty cool stuff, and great very positive exposure of the field of pain in a big publication. Worth the 4 bucks for sure.
