Hello, and thank you for your help!

I am a junior right now, and will be applying to MD programs in the summer. I just wanted to know where I stand, and what I should shoot for on the MCAT (I take it here in a few weeks).

My Info:

cGPA: 3.85
sGPA (including math): 3.79
s GPA (not including math): 3.96
Research experience: 1 years in a molecular genetics lab, working on an individual anti-cancer project (my own proposal led to undergraduate funding, leading to future publications/presentations)
Clinical/ Hospital Experiences: Have volunteered at 3 different hospitals for 100+ hours, clinical shadowing will take place this summer
EC/Honors: Collegiate Symphonic Choir member, "Big" in the BB/BS program for two years, a member of the NSHSS student council, member of my majors club, deans list 7 times, all-state choir member in high school, had an article published by mcgraw-hill, in my university's honors program, research will lead to a senior thesis project meaning that I will graduate with university distinction, a member of Sigma Phi Lambda honor society, named to HS academic hall of fame
Work experience/Internship- worked a couple jobs over the years, internship will be for 2 full years (full-time throughout the summer)
My Story: I have a great story of personal struggle with my own medical troubles. This truly is the reason why I wish to pursue medicine, and can talk about it for days with anyone.
MCAT: to be determined

What are my chances on getting accepted into med school, and with what kind of MCAT score? Thank you all for your help! It is greatly appreciated.

Are you a math major?

I have very similar stats as you, but I'm a math and biology major and have a 4.00 in bio, but a 3.6 in math, so it drags my sGPA way down :/ I think it's silly that the AMCAS considers a classes like topology and abstract algebra as "science".... calculus I understand, but beyond that is dumb.

Besides that, shoot for the 30's and you'll be fine if you apply broadly.

Your GPA isn't "great" for medical school. It's good. Your sGPA is outstanding. Do more volunteering. 100 hours is kind of a minimum.
