i call anyone with a PhD or MD "Dr. XX" until I'm told otherwise. i plan to continue this practice during residency, except for my fellow residents.

I call a few by their first names but for the most part, I address my attendings as Dr. xxxxxxxxxx

Dr X. There are a few younger ones who insist on first name. Until they do, i use the Dr.
