I have an interview at UAB on Feb. 1st and was just wondering what people have had to do inside of a group interview? Was there a group activity and what does this usually consist of?

I did a group interview at GW. I thought it was strange to do an interview like that, but I can understand a school's reasons for doing it.I have an interview at UAB on Feb. 1st and was just wondering what people have had to do inside of a group interview? Was there a group activity and what does this usually consist of?
The way GW had it set-up was:
-Arrive. Mingle/get refreshments in a room with applicants (~50), current student, and professors.
-Go into a different room and get info about the school.
-Split up with 1/2 of the students doing a small group (~4 applicants/group) activity and other 1/2 go with their small group to interview w/ 1-2 professors.
>>>The activity was simple and nothing to really worry about.
>>>The small group interview was odd, but we all got our turns to talk and ask questions.
-After both 1/2s have interviews then you fill out a survey and wait to be called into a professor's office and discuss any potential holes in your application and ask whatever questions you want.
Hope this helps! And keep in mind UAB may do it completely different.
PThopeful89 is right that many schools may do it differently. I would call and ask if there's any documents, resumes etc needed to be brought in. My group interview was more simple as we were brought into a room to write an essay response on a certain topic that we read in an article. We were given 30 minutes and after that we met with the interviewers in which they asked all of us a few questions and then was dismissed. Hope this helps and best of luck.

The activity was to list on a big sheet of paper what our top 5 items would be that we would have to have with us on a deserted island. We then presented our top 5 to the larger group. Not exactly sure how they used these when determining whether or not we were accepted.
