Anyone else just losing their mind?? I can't wait any longer! I check my e-mail every 5 mins!!

I was doing fine until a classmate of mine got into the program here and now I'm going crazy! As far as email notifications go, though, mine get pushed straight to my phone so I'm not as obsessive about running to a computer every chance I get. I feel you, though!

@rEliseMe: Hey, how did your Iowa interview go? I remember you were offered an interview there and you were going to fly out there? I ended up doing the phone interview and I think I bombed it. Boo..hoo... Hopefully yours went much better! 🙂

I just saw this, sorry! It went great! I'm so glad I took the opportunity to go out there. I told them that I foresee my biggest challenge to be developing my skills in interpersonal communication and they all laughed as though I had just said I was a purple monkey... that made me feel good that they didn't believe I have trouble. I also asked them what they look for a student now and two years down the road, and they really liked that. They all said pretty much the same thing: someone who is actively learning, engaged in the material and its application, and excited to be there, not someone who will just sit in class and let it flow over them. I felt kind of silly, but to that I replied, "Awesome, because I tend to ask my questions as soon as I think of them, and if I don't learn something new each day I feel like it was a waste!"

I made sure to stay late and talk to professors about their research, too... I was like one of the last two people to leave that day.

Did you hear back yet? I don't know if they send all their emails out at the same time, but I got mine like a couple hours ago. What made you feel like you bombed the phone interview?

Saw your official thread, CONGRATS!!
You really nailed it didn't ya? Well, I still haven't heard back since my conference call with 3 faculty members via skype. May be I shouldn't have suggested skype.. cuz when I saw their faces on the screen, whoa~made me so nervous. There were some good laughs but definitely more awkward moments. Anyhoo, good job rEliseMe! Congrats again! 👍

Oh yeah, I hear you on that. Video calls make me so much more nervous than in-person meetings! Don't give up hope! 🙂
