Grrr... DO LOR not coming in!

I have requested 4 LORs from 4 people, one non science, two science, and one DO.

I shadowed the DO for an evening, talked to him about med school and osteopathy, and worked with and around him for 100+ hours volunteering. He said he would be more than happy to write me a LOR. That was about a month and a half ago, and I still haven't received it. I e-mailed him about 5 days ago, (tactfully) requesting that he let me know how it was progressing, and he hasn't responded. I'm starting to get worried about it, as I have to have it soon to send out to schools...

What should I do?

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried seeing him in person to see what he has to say about it? Also, a back-up plan would not hurt. Why sit and wait when you can go and find another doc? Go find another one to write you a LOR then send in which ever you get back first. Even if the second letter isn't as good; it's better than nothing. That's what I would do.
