I come unto ye all masters of SDN Pre-Dental for I am in desperate need of thine advice...
Okay.
I'm an American 2nd time reapplicant:
3.0-->3.1 Overall GPA;
2.56-->3.0 sGPA via a 3.8 in SMP
I have literally thousands of shadowing/work/volunteer hours, an awesome personal statement and strong LORs from my dentist mentor, SMP profs and even undergrad prof I was tight with.
My first DAT scores were taken after studying for like 2-3 weeks and I got 19PAT/16 TS/ 17 AA.
My question is this... I am retaking the DAT on July 9th and dont feel comfortable at all.
I've already applied to 21 schools,the only thing missing is a new and better DAT score.
Whould it be sabotage to take the DAT say, July 31 and make use of the extra study time or should I take it on July 9th and try to at least get a 19AA?
I know its not ideal, but I want to make the most of the DAT w/out putting my whole application in jeopardy.
Advice please guys?
