gw - all 12's?

to any gw residents or people that interviewed there:
is it true that you do all 12 hour shifts at gw in dc for the 1st 3 years? that's what it says on emramatch and scutwork but both of those posts are from 2 yrs back. thanks!

I interviewed there and they said that they were switching to 8s this year, for all years.

We are now 9-hr shifts @ GW. Lucky for you all that you won't have to do the prelim medicine year. This is a HUGE change, and will make the most reputable program in the area even better.

Speaking of mortal enemies, it's a little known fact that West Side Story was really about residents at GT and GW, not some Shakespearean play...

... it's pretty ugly, really... anytime I randomly bump into a GT resident at Dupont Circle or hang out with my wife's co-residents, we inevitably end up in a MC or dance battle...

... Stomp the Yard? Bring It On? Yet more movies based off of GT-GW...

Few realize George Lucas (no relation to Ray) used this epic struggle as the model for the dark side v. light side of the force. New brash upstarts at GT dare to tangle with the great GW Empire.... 🙂
Note to my friend Quinn (admitting my own personal GW bias) the original poster said "reputable" meaning "has a reputation" which GW does.... it's hard for GT to have one seeing as they aren't even a year old yet. We all know being a 3 year program with you as an attending easily makes GT the BETTER program.... just not a reputable one.... yet.

actually, IMHO, I think Univ of MD has the best reputation in the area (which shows how I'm not completely blind to my own program).

Yes agreed..... though IMHO Baltimore and Washington are so incredibly different I didn't even think about Md when the OP said "most reputable program in the area."
