Does anyone have anatomy notes from George Washington...This may be a little overambitious, but i wanted to take a little look at them before school starts in August. Also, if you took anatomy at GW, how were the professors and the class in general...any advice you have would be great. 🙂 😉

For med school or undergrad?

Hi Jeni,

I wouldn't worry so much about anatomy. It'll be a way of life once school starts... relax! 🙂 And if you ever need help on musculoskeletal stuff just lemme know. I'm pretty comfortable with that. Are you lookin forward to August?

Honestly, its really useless to look @ anything before school starts. Everyone thinks that they make have an advantage by looking at stuff ahead of time- but it's POINTLESS. The classroom aspect is only a small part- and doesn't make much sense until you put the big picture together with dissection

The Anatomy department is simply incredible at GW. That's all I can say.

Phinicky,

Are there old exams to study from? Are they helpful?

Thanks!

Wow, some you guys need to learn to chill. Don't waste your summer. You'll know it when you need to know it. Don't buy into all the hype. It's medical school. Most of what we ready is hype. It's managable.

I'm not stressing. If others can do it. I can do it. I know some not so bright people that are doctors.

There are old exams that are on reserve in the library for most courses at GW. The exams are pretty old, but you will occasionally see a question or two get recycled. I think that a lot of the general concepts on the old exams tend to be tested over and over, but don't rely on them as your sole source of study. I found it best to study like I had no idea of what could appear on the exams. About a week before the test, I would start going over old exams and focus on the things that I had problems with. I did really well in anatomy by doing that. You should be paired up with a "big sib" at GW and if you are lucky, he/she may have some old exams that they can give you. The anatomy department is great and they will really work with you to see that you succeed!
