GW transcript requests?

Anyone else out there have GW request official transcripts from you after you interviewed? Have I been singled out for some reason or is this SOP for them? Isn't part of the point of AMCAS to NOT have to send out separate transcripts?

i haven't been asked, but they did send me an email asking more details about my application, so maybe they just want more info(?) from your official transcript. i have had other schools ask for official transcripts when i got an interview, though, so i think that is standard at some schools, even though you've already sent them to amcas.

How soon after you interviewed did they ask you? I would take it as a good sign that they are carefully considering you!

If you haven't submitted at least an updated transcript--for the Fall semester--after you were interviewed, they very likely want to see if your grades held up after you were interviewed. In any event, all medical schools require final transcripts for all accepted and planning to matriculate students before medical school classes begin. This is to keep students from dropping out of all courses and/or from slacking off too much. It ain't over until its over!

After my interview they did not ask me for my transcript and then I was rejected. So, I think it's a good thing for you! Good luck!
