I haven't seen too much on this forum about GWU. I was accepted on Friday for MPH in Health Promotion, with scholarship 😀, so it has quickly become a top school for me! It will be difficult to decide between Columbia, BU, and GWU. Debt is a main concern of mine since I will have to take out loans, which makes GWU so appealing.

I would imagine GWU would have great opportunities because of the location in D.C. I would love to work for the government or a health agency upon graduation, so I am thinking this school might be helpful for this goal. I am hoping it is possible to do an internship/practicum at one of these places. Additionally, I have always thought of D.C. as an exciting city to live in with so much happening all the time and I would love to move down there.

I am wondering if anyone else is seriously considering GWU for this fall or has any insight on this school and its MPH program. I am planning to attend the accepted students day in a few weeks!

I got in to MCH on Friday. Unfortunately, I was put on the "Merit Waitlist".

I'm in MCH. Good luck on getting a merit scholarship! I know scholarships of any kind can be tough to get in an MPH program.

I was accepted to Health Promotion. In my initial email they said I was going to be considered for a scholarship, but I haven't heard anything since December. Since it sounds like folks have either gotten the scholarship or have been wait listed, is it safe to assume I'm not getting any funding?

I'm not planning to go there, anyway, but would have been nice to compare financial packages as leverage.

I heard about the scholarship by email the same day I got the acceptance email. Good luck to you!!

I was emailed my FA package today. For some reason, it assumed only half-time enrollment. I never indicated I would be half time. Anyone else have this happen?
