How is HCF3 capable of hydrogen bonds? The question said which is less affected by hydrogen bonding HCF3 or HCN. I understand that in HCN the hydrogen is attached to the carbon and thus doesn't hydrogen bond. But isn't the hydrogen in HCF3 also attached to the carbon? Or is my structure of HCF3 wrong?
