Hello,
Does anybody know the pathophys. behind ranitidine and cimetidine effect on decreasing renal creatinine excretion?

Hi codeblue. Found some articles discussing about cimetidine. "H2 antagonist compete with creatinine and certain drugs i.e. procainamide for tubular secretion." So in this way creatinine can be a perfect measure of GFR.

Honestly speaking, creatinine and cimetidine do share some structural similarity.
