I received notification that someone tried to log into my account from IP address 24.1.247.247. This is in the Greater Chicago area. Be advised that this has criminal elements, and if it continues I will pursue remedies afforded me under US law.

Furthermore I have unlimited resources and will prosecute.

What type of medicine are you in??? Purely for academic reasons, of course.

Trolls getting trolled?

Are you sure you just didnt forget the password to one of your many accounts? Its got to be confusing now since you have gone through 5-6 different handles.

What if I told you it was me? What you gonna do about it, punk?

He is bluffing.... As much as he trolls and trash talks this profession, he probably was kicked out of podiatry school years ago and now spends his days crying & pouting in his parents basement. He works part time in the fast food industry and puts all of his funds toward his student loans.

Cizzen is alone with his only friend...... HATE

Thank you to the SDN for investigating this discomfiting intrusion. The suggestions by your moderator should put to rest any questions or concerns. For future reference it would behoove anyone with questions or concerns to follow the proscribed protocols of this site. If at some point you intend on a medical career a modicum of courtesy, civility, and a bit of respect, tolerance, and openness to others opinions is vital. My impressions so far are that a degree of maturity is lacking as reflected by the barrage of less than professional posts. As noted this "hacking" matter was handled effectively in house obviating the need for more aggressive measures.

So.... Who was it?

Way to egg on a troll.

Why do you care?? Why does anyone on here care??

See my comments in the "Improving forum" thread.

Seriously, this whole thread show be deleted.

If it were a legitimate troll, the mods would have done something about it, as per all of the mod posts as per late. This reasons that someone was trying to hack into their account, and because he said it was handled, he knows who it was. I'd like to know what user is trying to hack into accounts so I don't have the same happen to me! I think it's a reasonable question.

I read your comment in the other thread, and thanks for calling me out! You were mistaken however, I'm not a pod student , just a lowly prepod. Also, this is the Internet. If you think some things posted on this site are childish, immature, unwarranted, etc, I invite you to check out some other online forums, and you'll find that SDN is quite tame. Plus, the oh lawd picture is funny.

Thanks for proving my point.

Isn't this supposed to be a professional's forum?

Your posting style reminds me of somebody on this forum. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that you just joined the forum and jumped directly into discussions regarding the negativity of this forum. 😉

As I suggested before, you can take advantage of these tips to safeguard your SDN account:

  1. Always log out when you are finished browsing the forum. This is particularly important if you access SDN from a public computer or have friends/family/people in your home who might use your computer.
  2. Create strong passwords. Not podiatry911 but maybe PoDiatry^^420@1 (or something, you get the idea). Some people create nonsense passwords like skskaheidha##212##^&^&, but those don't work for me because I have to write them down and that sort of defeats the purpose. Find a balance.
  3. Change your password frequently. And don't make it password1, password2, password3, password4, etc.
  4. Don't give anyone else access to your SDN account for any reason, ever. Not only is it a TOS violation to share accounts, but it's dumb. Your friend can create his or her own free SDN account at any time.
  5. Be aware of what others are doing on your computer/wireless. If someone is trolling from your home network, you may come under suspicion too. This is true on SDN and in other matters as well (such as a roommate downloading child porn and you get caught up in the sting).
  6. Secure your home wireless with a password so your neighbors can't access it.
  7. Be very cautious about accessing public open wireless networks and hot spots. They are NOT secure.

Also, I'm just going to say this again so that perhaps it will sink it:

Please use the "Report Bad Post" function to advise the moderator staff of users you find to be problematic instead of engaging them in threads. Thanks.

This is annoying and inflammatory. I am referring to the photo and its caption.

Le sigh, that post isn't racist. Do you know what racism is? I've taken the liberty of grabbing the definition of racism for you.
Racism:a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.

As you can see, the post isn't racist. It was an interjection to the link posted about that... "Elective" surgery website. If any post was inflammatory, it was yours about saying we hacked your account and you'd come after us with unlimited resources.

Please refrain from posting "mammy" pictures and other antiquated, inappropriate, potentially offensive pictures on a student DOCTOR forum.

This can be offensive to many on a supposed professional student/resident/practitioner site. What does this have to do with podiatric medicine and/or foot and sometimes ankle suirgery?

As stated in the past, let's work together to greatly improved podiatry and the problems it faces. Forge ahead and greatly demand that your training, schooling, and societies prepare you for the realities of podiatry practice. Those that collect your hard earned dollars-- tuition, dues, fees, etc...have a fiduciary duty to provide you a voice. and more importantly, action. If not, pursue other actions. Just recently, a pod was misquoted and the author stated in Money mag--that pods do minor stuff, yet orthos do the bone work/serious sx. Reality, and we're on verge of 2013. After all the literature and links provided, the author stuck this in there. 2013. Then the medscape CME on toenails by an american MD, 11/21/12. No podiatry input, nor podiatry literature.

Action Plan:

For starters, publish in an MD journal on a medical topic, earn a competitive grant (NOT drug company funding--which is a joke/biased), teach as a professor at an IVY league school to orthopods, lecture nationally/internationally at AMA/AOA, AAOS, ACFAOS, etc.... just some thoughts. Inbreeding with podiatry groups can be an exercise in futility as many do not know, what they do not know.

Get the DPM unknown triad, into PMD, as the DPM remains unknown/enigmatic/tainted. WIth DNPs, the DPM will be further antiquated, and does not accurately reflect the training of podiatric practitioners 2013 with at least 7yrs study post university.

No more sock talk, shoes, nail polish, and flip flop follies (podiatry mags and throwaways/national foot clubs) how about a double randomized control trial or if RCT is too cumbersome, propensity scoring in a large study that has wide interest to CMS' Triple Aims?

Just some thoughts--let's work to help elevate and get podiatry mainstream and under ABMS /ACGME.

Do you post using the Cizzen screen name before or after taking your medication?

Are you trying to bait me?

Or are you trying to impress your fellow students with your scathing wit?

Too bad we can not ignore IP addresses.

While I don't agree with Cizzen or Traum, people like Ferocity need to grow up and quit posting stupid crap and responding in immature ways. At least dtrack trys to fight with facts. Grow up.
