You should refer to the common dates where people may hear back, which are usually a result of deposits not being paid and spots opening up. As the application process continues and the time to pay your deposit shortens, then the days on which you can hear back are less far apart.
Usually the dental schools will ask you to pay according to a schedule like this:
45 days after notification if received on or after 12/1/2009
30 days after notification if received on or after 1/1/2010
15 days after notification if received on or after 2/1/2010
10 days after notification if received on or after 5/1/2010
Based on data from predents.com, as far as I know (if anyone else knows for sure please correct me) the dates for Maryland where people have been notified of acceptances typically are:
December 1 (first day to hear back)
December 15 (usually people with pre-dec 1 interview who did not hear back on December 1)
January 15 (first deposit due)
February 1
February 15 (deposit, this year that deposit is due on February 12)
March 1
March 30
Anything after this date should be pretty fluid so I believe you could hear back really on any day, it just depends on when the admissions committee meets.
Now be aware that there could be a place +/- range of a day or so in either direction of these dates, especially the ones that do not coincide with a deposit being paid, so someone could also hear back on December 16 for instance.
Hopefully that helps at least a little. Good luck to you!
