My brothers eyes are noticably swollen since he woke up today. Here the conversation:

"maxx52188, what's wrong with my eyes?"

"I dunno."

"look."

"mmmm, let me see, open your eyelids with your fingers and move your eyes about...okay, now cough ( with my index fingers on his jaw). Hmmmmmmmm. ( then I put my fingers on his thyroid and mutter random irrelevant ****) mmmm slight hyperplasic myopathy."

he was taking this so seriously and looked so concerned, like taking a semester of physiology made me able to diagnose

I just couldn't take it anymore and I burst into laughter

"dude I dunno WTF I'm doing, I'm not a doctor! hahaha"


"you #%#%er." He walks away

Doesn't surprise me.

Last year, I was in my room during the weekend (studying). I heard a knock on the door and it was this troubled male freshman from the adjacent male hall. He mumbled "I don't feel good" then barfed in front of my door. I dragged him off the RA so they could get him some help and then I had to clean up the mess before someone stepped in it. 🙁

I asked him later why he came to ME and asked for help. He said "well you're premed so I thought you would know what to do!" JEEZ!

Most people on this forum are pre-med, so I'm guessing that's why we appear to lack a sense of humor. 🙄

lol hey, it wasn't that bad, pretty amusing story. I'm guessing there must be an extremely high standard for threads these days though.

It does happen time to time.. like my sister would ask me to come take a look at her foot if she thinks there's something wrong with it - I'm just like, why don't you get it yet?? I'm not a doctor!!

I had someone message me on facebook and say "you're going to be a doctor, what's wrong with me?"

Intending to make a funny, I asked her symptoms. She said she was having chest pain.

I replied, "Oh, that's easy, you have angina."

I saw her the next weekend and she told me I was dead on, and how impressed she was.

Maybe it's not as funny to anyone else, but I got a chuckle.
