So I was just informed that my application is on hold due to the author not providing a hand-written signature. From what I gather, I should just have her sign a new copy and send it to AMCAS. I just wonder if having to do this will reflect poorly upon my abilities to follow directions, even though I told her in person AND in an email that it had to be handwritten...

Do all schools require handwritten or is this just a BU thing? Because if its just BU I'll probably create a new entry and just send it to them...

Required or not, a signature makes it seem more official. Just tell your LOR writer your situation and ask them to resubmit.

I had to remind one of mine to submit on letterhead and sign it.

Don't worry about that, it actually happens a lot more often than you might think. Just resubmit as quickly as possible and move on to more important things.

Last cycle BU asked me to resubmit a letter because it wasn't on department letterhead, even though it was on university letterhead. It was ridiculous.

Thank you for the advice! My other question would be whether or not I should call all of the schools I'm applying to to advise them that a replacement letter will be heading their way?
