I'm still waiting on decisions from USC, BU, Tufts, and Howard. I saw that many people have gotten rejected and accepted, but I just wonder why they are keeping me so anxious? I just want to know, yes or no! I haven't interviewed at any of the places and have been working on my alternative plan, but does anyone have any incite on the situation?

Chances are it's a rejection. I don't know of any schools that are still giving out interviews.

I am sure that both Tuft and USC are done with their interviews so you can cross them off your list.

I have no idea about Boston or Howard but I remember getting Boston rejection letter sometime in Aug last year.

BU is done interviewing and from your picture it doesn't look like you're an URM so you might as well move on from Howard. Start planning for the next cycle.

At this point in the application cycle, if you haven't received an interview invitation from a school you haven't heard from, it's probably a pending rejection. Most schools send out rejections in bulk at certain points in the cycle via snail-mail (standard size envelopes).

It doesn't hurt to keep your fingers crossed, BUT you should focus your efforts on preparing for next cycle (which opens soon).

Hopefully, you've had some time to improve your application over the last few months.

Goodluck this June

I know Howard finished interviewing on March 28. I'm Filipino and I got into Howard. You don't have to be Under Represented to have a chance.

have you sent them your picture?

Sorry, figured that might cheer you up 🙂 Best of luck to ya, what is your next plan if you don't get in?

I wasn't implying that a person that isn't under represented has no chance. However, it is common knowledge that Howard will give preference to URM.

I read somewhere on the forum from somewhere who interviewed there that they gave some presentation on the school during the visit. It said the dental class was like 60% URM and 40% everything else. So it's not all URM preferences. No idea what they're looking for though. Major obstacles, challenges maybe? Someone who will go practice in the inner city?

Seriously guys? It's like you've never seen a pretty girl in your life....

relax... its not like we were drooling on the screen begging her to send us more pics... she seemed like someone who coulda be comforted with a complement

60% is pretty good considering that they are UNDER REPRESENTED.

I'm not trying to argue numbers. I was just saying that Asians are definitely not considered under represented(I'm Asian), so unless she has something else to bring to the table, it's pretty safe to say that she should not put every ounce of hope nto this cycle.
