I feel ya on the multitasking. I am watching some football and writing a research paper. You have to do something between new posts.

ihd is going to be pissed that he didn't get his own thread. But he hits 1000 posts every week.

Agreed, however atleast that question would serve the purpose of this forum(s), that is to ask dental-related questions; these pointless threads do nothing but take up space. If the OP wanted to congratulate you, I think a PM would have sufficed. 🙂

What's worse is that you are out to conserve the endless cyberspace, then use it up with your posts. Ironic.

Anywho, ihd, we will celebrate your 2000th. I agree, "what are my chances" and the 50 Umich and NYU threads piss me off.

Eh, last time I checked the name of the forum was "Pre-dental student discussion forum", which is exactly what we're doing, discussing.

Funny how you quote the proper name of the forum yet you forgot the "Pre-dental" aspect of the forum. Discussion here is suppose to focus on dental related topics; patting each other on the back for the 1000th post is not part of the deal. Like I said earlier, a pointless thread to start when the PM option is available.
 
I decided to make everybody feel better and turn this thread into a useful one...

Ok, so I'm working on my personal statement and I was just wondering why it won't let me indent. I'm freaking out. Please help
DO you guys think that I will still be considered an early applicant if I get my application in before Dec. 1st? I have a 1.5GPA and I got a 9AA on the DAT but the schools should see past that and realize that I really want to be a dentist. I mean...I want this more than anything in the world and if they are going to turn me down because of a few semesters where I had a lot going on, then that is just not fair. 😉

Psh, this is how my interviews go:

Adcom - "Hi, nice to meet you..."
armorshell - "I'm armorshell, from SDN. I have 100 posts"
Adcom - *Hands me acceptance letter*
armorshell - "You forgot the scholarship form"
Adcom - "So sorry here you are"
 
That is actually how it went for me at ATSUAZDOH, I was offended that they didn't throw in housing also, so I withdrew.

Of course I was only at 200 posts then, that must be why the offer wasn't as lucrative.
 
Seems likely, my offer didn't include housing either, but that was at Yale. Technically they don't have a dental program yet but they're starting one for yours truly.

Not meaning to be argumentative; just pointing out the uselessness of this thread so that further such acts will not occur.

To be honest, I enjoy reading yours and armorshell's posts; there's an element of humour in them; but that doesn't mean the two of you should get away with posting useless material here.
 
Dude, you're not the internets police. If you have a problem with the content, you can do one of two things:

1. Ignore it
2. Report us to a moderator, who will summarily ignore it considering we're not breaking any of the forums terms of service

We're fellow SDN spammers, nothing else as far as I know. Same for IHD, though I can't say I wouldn't mind having these two fine gentleman IRL spamming with me in gross anatomy come next year <3
 
Yeah it is very rare that someone earns someone else's respect on these threads. Everyone is always out to bag on people. ihd and armor are cool.

It looks like we won't be going to AZSDOHATSU.
 
Armorshell is my hero! I wanna be the Armorshell of the 07-08 cycle. Or is it the 08-09 cycle? I dont even know anymore.

You know, I just had to jump in on this one because I am at a lowly hundred and something posts and Mr. Shell and I started posting on SDN around the same time, both of us freaking out about the DAT. At least we both had around the same number of posts when I started. Now look at him... all grown up.

Anyways, Armorshell, arent you interviewing at Pacific pretty soon? Are you excited about that, or are you gunnin for somewhere else? If you are, I gotta tell you, Pacific does a really good job of selling their program at the interview.

Not without controversy though. Armor is like the Yankees, very polarizing, you either love him or hate him. It looks like most people love him except simba.

I was there last week and I liked it a lot! If I can afford it I can definitely see myself there.

I don't hold grudges, I'm as down with Mufasa just as much as any of my oterh SDN subjec...I mean peers...

Congratulations for 1000+ of the most entertaining SDN posts and for the official cutest posts EVER on the official cutest thread EVER (thanks to IHD)! If we can't have a sense of humor along the way then we might as well all just resort to the old samurai (or was it ninja?) buttered frisbee! Hats off to Armorshell and Highest regards for making this waiting game not only tolerable but insanely funny!
