So today I got an interview from Marquette which was really exciting to finally get the second interview and relieve some stress but then I played soccer later and broke my tibia. So I have to wear a cast for 2 months and my interview at Marquette is suppose to be in the next month/ month and a half so I dont know whether I should ask for a later date or just go with the broken leg and hopefully stand out.

I vote for going with the broken leg. They will definitely remember you, and your leg will make interesting conversation.

and will show ur determination and ur interest in the school.....

damn, just go in with the cast lol, that will show you are super committed

congrats on the interview. milk that broken leg for all its worth. hobble around for the interview and your laughing.

It is a broken leg...you can still walk just fine. Just don't book any back to back flights that you can't catch in time.
now more importantly, did you win the game? 😉

yeah, go to the interview,

What do you wear though? Seems like pants are out...

go with the broken leg.

I agree with everyone. You should go with the cast. I think when you are offered an interview, you should take the first available date. GO!!!! Best of luck.😉

Same deal here!! I broke my foot the day before my DAT and 2 weeks later I got an X-ray. I have been wearing this boot thingy but it didn't heal so I gotta get a cast on for a few weeks, I was thinking the same thing about the cast so I feel for you

id say def go with the cast...as long as it is your lef and not your carpels and metacarpels shouldnt be a problem. I have a friend that broke his hand in dental school and NYU might kick him out because he is useless unless he can work with his hands.

the school should let your friend take a leave of absence until their hand heals... even if it means repeating the year or something like that... that is dumb to kick someone out for that reason... things happen

blessing in disguise...?

Hmmm that's a good idea. I wonder if I should break an arm or something to stand out...

The soccer game was for greek week and we did win in the finals so that was good. I think for dress I should probably dress normal and just tuck it into the boot that I got today (YAY no cast). But I went with everyones advice and signed up for October 21st. So if anyone else has an interview at Marquette on same day you will know the idenity of waitingame.

Anyway anyone that got an interview there better hurry up because spaces are running out..... 15th is all filled and the 21st morning is filled. I wonder how many people can go on interviews on each date.

I don't see why a broken leg would impair your interview, or the anyone's impression of you. Now if you were missing both of your arms then you should reconsider the field of dentistry. But in all honesty, it is not important, and you should focus on what you are going to say and how you are going to present yourself...not that you have a cast.

Best of luck, and let me know if you have any questions about MUSOD or the interview.
