The waiting will be unbearable....especially with those alternate lists. What I thought really stunk was that you can't really make any plans for the future cause you don't know where you are going...like to you renew an apartment lease? Do you buy a car? Do you start working on making yourself more competitive for next cycle? Do you apply to graduate school?

I remember after I applied I was then taking a tons of classes to graduate (like little stupid classes that I waited to take b/c I only wanted the hard flashy classes on my application)....I kept shadowing with my equine vet, but I remember thinking at one point "well crap if I get rejected from all the schools and then they tell me in my little why-you didn't get in meeting that they wanted more SA or a better GRE etc. that I wouldn't really have much time to make any changes.....

That's one thing I would recommend....if you can afford it I'd take the GRE again if you had doubts about your score and think you can get it up. Right now you're likely to have the info a lot fresher then you would 6 months from now or w/e. My GRE was ok and I didn't need to reapply....but if I had I would have been starting back at square one studying for it.

Good luck everyone!😀

So did anybody else get panic calls from all their evaluators last night, who were registered in VMCAS weeks ago but had all promptly lost the e-mail with instructions on how to log in and do the evaluation, thought the deadline was Oct. 1, and didn't realize they'd lost the instructions until they tried to log in at what they thought was the last minute? Asking if you knew the URL, knew what they were supposed to do, or could maybe do it yourself if they sent you the text of the letter they wanted to submit? And all you can do is say you have no idea how they're supposed to access the evaluation site, but you can re-send the request so they get another instruction e-mail... and then hope they do it right... Good way to ruin an otherwise peaceful I-submitted-two-days-early-now-I-can-relax evening. 🙂 (I checked this morning, and everyone seems to have managed to do the right thing - or at least to do something that makes the VMCAS eLOR section say they completed the evaluation...)

I told my recommenders to have it in by Sept. 1 if at all possible to avoid that exact problem. I'm glad it all worked out for you.
