bacteriophage infects a single E. coli, 1000 phages are released. One of them contains a fragment of the E. Coli chromosome rather than the T7 chromosome. Will this phage be able to inject its DNA into an E. Coli cell, if so how many T7 particles will be produced by this cell?
A. able to inject, 1000 particles
B. able to inject, 100 particles
C. able to inject, 0 particles
D. unable to inject, 0 particles

C, this is a generalized lytic phage.
 
wondering what T7(probably the viral rna or dna) is also but i am going with answer C as well.
 
If I understand the question correctly the bacteriophage now contains a segment of the E.Coli chromomsome and has lost its entire chromosome?? If so then the answer is C....it can still inject the chromomsome bc it is injected by the outercoat/capsid; obviously if it doesnt have its chrom it will not produce proteins any longer.
