hardest class that you took?

Analytical Chemistry. It took 5-10 hours to write each lab report. We would collect tons of data from our experiments (tens of thousands of data points sometimes) and then have to analyze it in excel.

But it was a valuable class and I am glad I took it.

10 hours is nothing.

In my advance organic synthesis class, we had to analyze the raw NMR spectra and that alone took about a day. The report ended up being 40+ pages.

I liked Organic chem though.

Hardest class: Calc II

I agree with ANAL chem lab, but it took much longer than 5-10 hours to write a lab report. For our school, it would take us like a full day. We had to hand record every single one of our data points for titrations, and then plug in every single point by hand into excel and then analyze it. Very tedious. If you were not within 5-10% error, you lost like a lot of your points toward your grade because they graded us on accuracy. I ended up with an A-.

Two other classes I thought were extremely hard were:

Biochemistry: Never studied so hard for a class in my life. Aced the final, but didn't do that well on the midterm so I ended up with an A-.

Inorganic Chemistry Lab: 7 hours of pure b.s. synthesis. Lab reports took forever, and it felt like you were always under pressure to finish on time because the labs were so long. A lot of the chemicals were air sensitive, which played to my disadvantage during the lab practical (final). I lost 70 points within the first 10 minutes of my final exam because my TA was a douche and I misunderstood the experimental setup because it was different that what it was supposed to be. My TA felt sorry for me and gave me 15 points back for cleaning glassware, but that was still a -55 points. In the end, I got lucky by getting a B- because my good lab reports held me up. And, the class was curved by laboratory (there's only like 18 students in there), which made the -55 points stand out even more.

Wow. We just saved all of our data and exported it into Excel so we didn't have to type in every one, one at a time.

Organic Chemistry Lecture, especially II. Loved the lab though...

We had to submit a carbon copy of our handwritten data to our TA as proof of our lab work and so that we could not alter our data (forging of results).
