Depends on school, professor, and your personal interests. For me, 2nd half of general chemistry was the hardest, and physics followed it up (simply because I hate physics.)

Any class that involved massive amounts of reading like history or comparative lit. It was mainly a battle of willpower/staying awake, and reading the books took up so much time from my major courses.

Thankfully I'm done with my writing/humanities core courses now.

For me it was second semester neurobiology, followed by second semester organic chemistry in a close second.

Look into what classes your school uses to weed out pre-meds. At my school it was General Chemistry where the class was curved to a C with 50% receiving a C or below, and 5% receiving an A.

Based solely on subject matter, watch out for biochemistry and Neurobiology/neuroanatomy. They're vicious...

Everything is easy w/practice, but the one that took the most hours was probably Chem

Tulane undergrad's Ochem is unanimously agreed to be the toughest undergrad course to the point that we designate that class to be the the strainer that filters out premed students who realize that med school is far out of their reach. Univariate and Multivariate statistics are tied for close second.

While it may be different at Tulane with what you described, I've never really liked Ochem always labeled as THE premed weed out class. To me it just seemed like a very abstract class that you either get, or don't get.

Comparative Anatomy and American Literature to 1865. Histology has been my favorite course in college, but it was frustrating studying newer slides and slides from manuals and then getting to the exam and seeing that the slides are stained differently and look to be from the stone age. You learn, though.

My hardest class was Italian culture. For our final, we had to eat a whole plate of spaghetti. That's like, a million spaghettis.
