Hi,

I'm trying to create some free MCAT review materials. I'd like to focus first on the topic people find most difficult so am trying to get a general sense. Which one of the above would you like help with the most?

A poll might make this thread easier for you to quickly glance at and get an idea as to problem areas.

For me PS was definitely the hardest section.

Within the PS section I had a difficult time with some concepts of E&M, such as kirchoff's and how to apply those formulas to more complex problems with a number of resistors and parallel circuits.

I also had a difficult time with lenses and mirrors.

To be fair though, I spent the least amount of time on these topics.

I'm sure people will appreciate the free materials you're trying to put together.

EDIT: NM, I see that you added a poll...

Somehow, Physics seems to me to be the least intuitive, despite the fact that it is more conceptually-rooted than the other subjects.

I'm in the same boat.....PS: EM, electricity, lens Those are the big three that i have trouble with. I know just enough to make a good guess... 👎 Good luck with the material compilation

add IR and NMR/ splitting etc to the list

It is almost impossible to create a helper section for PS.

You need to know the concepts. Concepts are learned by going over the fundamentals. Fundamentals were either learned in class or need to be learned from a textbook (or a really excellent review like Berkeley with some Wikipedia back up)

There are hundreds of concepts in each section...

physics is somewhat hard 😡 but really you just gotta suck it up, its not like bio where you can skim and read through and get decent scores on the practice tests w/o doing much. It can be a little counter intuitive too, but nevertheless I understand why we need to have a fundamental understanding of basic physics to become physicians.
