Hey guys,

Just wanted to get some feedback on the opinions on their anesthesia progams, mainly MGH and Brigham and Womens??

What do u think or heard about each program?? Especially in relation to the environment, quality, teaching, work load, and attitude of the resident's to each other and from attendings to residents.

Thanks a bunch. Hope to have some insight from others.

I shadowed a anesth. that went to HMS, and did his res @ mass gen. He said that he loved it! He now practices at a medium size regional hospital with an easy work load, pulling down 400k a year. I was suprised to hear him say that the program up there was not malignant, and in fact, very helpful for residents.

that's my 2 cents

Heheh...maybe I'm bitter at the rejection slip I got from them, but a buddy of mine who did his residency at MGH (Man's Greatest Hospital) said it ain't all it cracked up to be. He personally knew the fellas who wrote the handbook Clinical Anesthesia Procedures of MGH and thought very little of them. Dumb-asses, he said. There are two kinds of people who like Harvard -- those who never left the place, and those who wish they were there. So, would I go there if they come knocking? Well, helll yeah. 🙂
