Hey I was just wondering if I even had a chance at schools like Harvard, Columbia, or UPenn with these stats. I don't want to waste hundreds of dollars applying if my chances aren't good, you know? Thanks !! 🙂

AA: 24
TS: 24
PAT: 20 :/

GPA: 4.0

I have over 175 + hours of dental related community service, have about 100+ of shadowing, in the honors program, and am working on my own research project.

I do live in Texas, so the out of state thing also will make things a lot harder too.

Absolutely go for it, what have you got to lose, a couple hundred dollars? or going to Harvard or Columbia?

Well unless you have some dark secret which you aren't sharing with us, you can definitely try at least! There is hardly anything academic they can hold against you. You can check your stats against enrollees on predents.com Honestly though, you'll waste lot of money during apps anyway so take some chances 🙂

Out-of-state won't matter with private colleges like the ones you have listed. There are a handful of students with identical scores as the ones you have so it really comes down to specific things that will set you apart such as your ethnicity, race, published research (not just plain research), and most importantly your interview. Bottom line is your stats will only get you so far when applying to such top schools so do something to make yourself super-distinct from the rest. Best of luck! 🙂
