Wow Guys,

so I got a call for an interview at Harvard today. Totally blown away. Anyone who has interviewed there, if you have any advice and even info about the school, I would so appreciate your feedback!

Congrats!

You will have a little orientation about the school, financial aid talk, two 1:1 interviews, and a campus tour.

During the orientation, Anne Berg will go over pretty much everything you should know about the school. I actually found it more informative than orientations at other schools I visited.

The interviews were informal and they were more conversational than they were questions/answers.

+1 to everything Super said. You will probably really enjoy the interview day as it is very informative, yet pretty laid back. The whole day was very thorough, so come with lots of questions because they are ready to answer all of them. Be sure to pay attention to the financial aid talk at the end of the day. You'll get a lot of helpful information. Good luck! 😀

Congrats!

Very easy interview - just be yourself and know where you see yourself in the future. The most informative part, to me, was lunch with the fourth years. They were very open and for the most part really enjoyed the school.

Wow thanks guys for all the congrats and advice. I really appreciate it. Though I doubt I will be accepted (bad attitude I know...I just dont think I'm "harvard material") BUT if I do, it will be a very difficult choice. I am in love with UDM and can only seem to picture myself there. Regardless, I have plenty of questions to ask Harvard to see if they are in fact the school for me.

I was set on harvard, the interview really sold me, but once I officially got the ucla invite I have been having some second thoughts. I liked both schools and I am really not sure where I'll end up.

What about you?

To au: Make sure you ask lots of questions to dispel any myths you have about the school. I asked tons of questions about how well the students are trained clinically and found that they actually have to complete quite a few procedures to graduate.

what are some othe rmyths about harvard? I had heard about that one -- their poor clinicals. The only other real thing I've heard is that if you go there, you are practically guaranteed to specialize. Is that true? And if its pass/fail there, do you not have a gpa/ranking?

Yeah, I definitely enjoyed the harvard interview, but I found UCLA to also be amazing.
The students at UCLA are incredible and so are the faculty and facilities.
