Harvard .... slooow?

Is it just me, or is Harvard really slow with filing their materials? I sent in my letters and DAT scores almost a month ago, and they still haven't file them yet 🙄 . It's quite slow compared to the other schools like Columbia and Upenn. The secretary is really nice though. Do you think I should request them to be sent again, just in case?

If you got an interview from Harvard, how long did it take after your app is complete?

I agree. My file is under review apparently and the girl told me that it would be at least 2-3 weeks before any decision was made. UPENN was soooo much faster. Once they had my stuff, it took a couple days to decide to give me an interview.

Maybe, it's a nice way for them to say that you are not invited for an interview. Don't worry~~!!! I hope that Harvard is not the only school you guys are applying.

they get a lot of applications and they only have one person handling them. When I was interviewing they had boxes and boxes of applications! Don't worry though they said they interview until dec. 15th for the 1st round of acceptances.

Maybe. Or maybe my app was mailed out 4 weeks ago and they really need time to process it. Besides, Harvard is def. NOT my top choice.

Yeah, I saw those boxes too when I was there last week. The lady said they've got around 1000 applications already compared to previous years where they got less than 800 total. The admissions dean told us that they only sent out around 12 to 14 acceptances in Dec 😱 Majority of the people will go on the wait list.
