Hi all,
I am a recent graduate working FT as a Management Consultant. My work schedule is pretty rough, so the time I can carve away daily, I devote to my MCAT prep.
I was a Bio major in college so I finished all of the prereqs save Biochem. I cannot fathom ever being able to fit in a biochem course at a local college/university, so I'm relying on an EdX course through HarvardX that is administered online. This course includes a lot of quizzes/tests/lectures like a traditional course. You can check it out by googling it.
At the same time, I'm working through The Berkley Review Biology I/II books because I want as in-depth a Biochem background as I can have prior to testing. I'm also reading a few papers from the Journal of Biochemistry each week to get with the language of the test.
Lastly, I plan on completing Schaum's Outline of Biochem in it's entirety.
Now, for those who have taken the MCAT...is this sufficient or am I really shooting myself in the leg by not taking a traditional class at a University?
Thanks in advance.
