Has anybody heard from University of Oklahoma

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
One of my friends just got his Acceptance letter, so they are sending out letters. I just haven't got mine yet. Fingers Crossed!

Best of luck! Do you know if they had really high stats?

Now another person I know got accepted. Yes, they both had high GRE stats and had higher than 3.5 GPA's.
Thanks! They must be early in the notification process then... I'm sure you will hear good news soon!

Has anybody heard from University of Oklahoma (OUHSC) for Physical Therapy yet?

I know I'm a bit late on this thread, but I saw you said you had 2 acquaintances get their acceptances from OUHSC for PT. I'm not doubting you, but I know I read on the OUHSC website that they wouldn't start sending out notifications until the latter part of April. In fact, here's the direct quote copy/pasted from their website:

"A letter of acceptance, alternate status, or denial to the Physical Therapy program will be mailed the latter part of April. If notification is not received by May 24th, contact the department."

Now, don't get me wrong, that seems wayyyy late for a program that begins in June and that finding out in March would make a lot more sense, but it seems strange that they would post one thing on their website and then do something totally different.

I'm just poking around for more information and meanwhile compulsively checking the mail every day as soon as the mailman gets to our neighborhood! Here's to hoping we get good news soon!

I completely understand. I saw that, too. But here is a copy of what my friend posted to Twitter. Note the date: March 10, 2014.

Like I said, I never doubted you or your friends or calling them liars, there just seemed to be a disconnect between what was online and what they were claiming. Congrats to your friends though, that's awesome! Hopefully we'll be getting good news soon as well.

Has anyone had their application give them a university ID online? Wondering if that is the same for everyone.

Mine changed to a University ID as well and under my home address if I look a little further down, it says none received

Update: have you guys received your letter yet? Several people in the clinic I worked for received their letters already. This waiting... Argh!

I have not received anything yet either. OU is the final school that I'm waiting to hear from.

Do you mind sharing your stats? I have a friend that has a bachelors degree, 3.9 GPA and did average on the GRE, but he submitted the application the last week. So they don't know what their chance is.

I also received my letter Monday. Top part of the waitlist. I am somewhat disappointed because they won't tell you your actual position on the list and they said it could take up until the end of May to know if you got in. Not very much time to find housing..

Just got my rejection.. Best of luck to you all! There is always hope on the waitlist as bmwellsOKSTATE has demonstrated 🙂

Just got a phone call from Marsha offering me a spot in the class!

Unfortunately, now my wife and I have quite the decision to make between OU and USA-Austin.
I wish I saw this earlier to congratulate you! That is GREAT news! Let us know if you decide to attend OU or not. I will be attending OU Tulsa. Keep us up to date!

It was a fairly easy decision for us. I will be attending OU due to their lower tuition, higher likelihood of my wife finding a job in the area, and because she got her bachelors from OU. OUHSC is also a higher ranked school for whatever that's worth.

Right now I'm still set to attend their Tulsa campus, but because her serious job lead is based in OKC, we are hoping that I'll get to move campuses either prior to classes starting in June, or at some point during a semester break.

But yeah, looks like I'll be forfeiting my deposit at USA-Austin to attend OU. I've actually already paid my tuition deposit and submitted most of the required forms. The only things left are my final transcript, and my vaccination record.

Well congrats again! I hope you get to switch campuses to help with the family circumstances. If not, I look forward to meeting you in the future! Good luck to everyone else!

bmwellsOKSTATE,

Are you having any issues with your online application status not updating to show that you've submitted the necessary documents? I'm wondering if submitting mine before my OUHSC email address was activated and/or before they received my confirmation of acceptance via the mail is why they still show up as unfulfilled.

I don't think it would be because they haven't received your acceptance. It may be because your email hasn't been activated. I know that you have to pay your deposit before you can get your OUHSC email address. I think they also want you to use that email address on all of your forms as well. I will send you a personal message with my email address if you want to just respond to that. You will get a faster reply, as I am currently working on a presentation!
