Has anyone applied right before the deadline and got in???

Im sure people have but it was extremely tough. This is because i doubt schools can rescind acceptances without good reason to students who have applied early. From the looks of what most people say, seats quickly fill up. Though they offer people interviews, they usually put them on a wait list and see if theres any space available. Having a very strong gpa, oat and other stats helps probably move up on the waitlist. I doubt it would do anything beyond that. But i suppose if they are doing a joint degree or something admissions is always holding a few spots to those very strong applicants who happen to apply later.

Some schools put students on waitlist in order of the interview score and no other criteria (like how late you applied). So it is possible if you nailed the interview.

I finalized and sent in my online application to UHCO an hour before the deadline. They sent me an interview letter the next week (even before my last rec letter came in), went to that two days later, and I got my acceptance letter after my interview.

I had a great GPA and high OAT scores, though, so that must've factored into the equation. All I had to do was not bomb my interview and I was in.

It certainly is a possibility to get into a school by applying at the deadline, but as everyone says, you have a greater chance to get in by applying earlier.

Oh thanks for the correction. I actually had no idea and was just assuming ( i hope i didnt sound certain from my post) but this is great to know about the interview score.

I thought UHCO didn't do rolling admissions and that there was just a deadline like Berkeley. Many people submitted their UCBSO applications minutes before the deadline and were accepted.

As far as I know, UHCO has been accepting applicants from August through February and seats were filled. So, wouldn't that be considered rolling admissions?

well, i guess there may be some hope for me! i just got my applications in to Pacific and ICO... i'm crossing my fingers and hoping to get the last interview date.
