Has anyone asked their program what they were ranked post-match?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I thought about it, but a) don't think they'd say and b) if they did and I happened to be ranked lower than the guaranteed match number, I'd forever be salty. Ignorance is bliss. I'm just going to pretend I was ranked to match for the rest of residency.

I've asked multiple times but never got a straight answer. Now that I'm a PGY-3, I lost interest in knowing the answer.

My class all asked for our ranks after we graduated residency. They wouldn't tell us.

I do know that two of the guys in my class said their letter writers got a phone call from the program expressing strong interest. Mine didn't, so I figured I wasn't ranked top 5.

Joke's on them, though, both those guys didn't finish (one switched to rads, one to anesthesia) and I did....

I matched my #1 choice, but at the same time, it lingers what did these 2 other programs rank me, b/c I really liked them as well. I just want to know for curiosity's sake. Did anyone ever find out?

People in my program have just asked the secretary for the final rank list. I'm in a very small program so we might be a little closer, but it hasn't been a big deal. I haven't cared to know myself. I'd more like to know now if I was poised to match at some of the programs I ranked lower.

nothing good can come from this.

This echoes my general philosophy on dealing with coworkers which is; I'm not as concerned about what other people think about me, as much as what I think about them.
