MBAs are useless unless you've been in the field. BA majors who go for an MBA right after undergrad are *****s. MBA programs are basically networking programs. No one wants to network with someone who doesn't have connections. Most good MBA programs have people who are in power, coming back to school for more experience and to network with other people who have power.
Also, MBA programs won't raise your science GPA, so basically they're useless for DMD/MD admissions. MBA courses are easy as hell. Adcom won't be impressed with your MBA GPA. Everyone has an MBA these days. Taking three letters on the end of your name isn't impressive - especially in the medical world. Unless you're getting your MBA from a top 20 school - it's 98% useless.
Second, MBA programs are usually more expensive than SMP or other masters programs.
Lastly, there are several MBA/DMD programs in the country at schools where getting an MBA will matter(columbia, penn). If you really want to go the MBA/DMD route - check that out. Honestly, be good with money and get your DMD. You can break into the selling dental equipment easily. Aspen's president is not a dentist btw. Don't think that your MBA will put you in the favor for becoming the next Mr. Aspen President.
My advice? Nah. Don't bother. Just do your SMP. Re-take DAT. Find a job in a bio lab. You're good to go.
