Has anyone ever deferred acceptance for a semester or year?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has ever deferred acceptance for a year or semester...I was accepted for the entering January class...and my wife is pregnant (that is my wife's name at the bottom of the screen)...and been high risk..bedrest and everything....how would the school look at me if I asked to begin in August? Is that even possible? Thanks in advance for any info or suggestions.

I think most schools are happy to allow you to defer your matriculation, especially for medical/health reasons. Talk to your office of student affairs and see what they say. Good luck, I hope everything turns out okay for you and your wife.
