Do not merge this thread because i've gone through all the efforts to upload these letters to amcas, read all the instructions, and I really need more people to see, so I can get hell.

I made letter of evaluation pages for all of my professors and recommenders (I haven't sent the letters to them, do I have to?) and copied the letter IDs from the AMCAS website to interfolio and used them to send each of the letters to AMCAS. That was several days ago and interfolio says they have been submitted and received, but amcas still hasn't put them up. What am I doing wrong?

My interfolio account has my amcas account ID in it too. Am I doing anything wrong? Does amcas still need to verify my letter writers?

Please help. This process is very confusing and I want to make sure I get everything in before June 1st.

AMCAS is probably just slow in verifying everything. Don't worry, you can submit your application before your LORs arrive. You can even do your secondaries for most schools before your LORs are submitted.

Awesome thanks for the feedback.
Are Lors considered part of the secondary application or primary or just separate? I'm wondering because my letters will make a huge difference for my application as they're all very strong

The letters are in a sense seperate from the primary and secondary. However, schools won't review your completed secondary until they have your LORs.

They showed up in my AMCAS the day after I submitted through Interfolio, so if it's been a few days I would call an AMCAS rep and ask what's up. My communication with them through email has never been successful.

hmm, did you do anything different from what I mentioned in the original post? That's why i'm wondering if I messed something up.

Nope, sounds like you did everything correctly assuming you have all the IDs matching.

yep, they all matched. Did you send the letters to each professor from AMCAS to get them verified before submitting the interfolio LORs to amcas or is that unneccessary?

I'm not sure what you mean by that? I didn't send anything to my letter writers other than the Interfolio request.

I used Interfolio to deliver to AMCAS on Friday, and mine haven't been marked as "Received" either. They're probably just slow right now.

All of my letters went from Interfolio to Amcas. Never had it take more than 2 days electronically even in the worst scenario. If they don't arrive after 2 business days email them.

Some schools wont even look at your LORs until after they interview you. Others will use it as part of deciding whether to interview you (part of secondary). Best case is to get it all done early but sometimes there is reality so check with the schools you are applying to.

Is it free for them to send all the letters electronically?

You've sent them this cycle? I sent mine out on Friday, still haven't had any verified yet. All of the letter IDs, names, and AAMC numbers match, so I'm not sure what's up.

My last delivery was two months ago. I've sent letters from Interfolio to AMCAS the past three years, my last delivery (to a medical school) was two months ago. I have also sent the same letters to scholarships, etc. I don't know how long or how many times you have used Interfolio, but I have a few dozens of deliveries in my account. Things don't always appear immediately, but electronic delivery is usually recognized in 24-48 hours.

I am really happy with Interfolio. All of my letters have been received by AMCAS 24 hours after I send them on Interfolio. Interfolio's customer service dept is prompt (I've been communicating with them via e-mail.) and does a good job reassuring you of the solution they came up with to fix the problem. AMCAS has a great and thorough application site, but their customer service is okay. I called AMCAS yesterday, and an auto message told me they were closed even when it was during business hours. I finally talked to someone on the phone today about an issue. The rep told me what will happen and gave me no reassurances. Wishing their CSR was as supportive and helpful as Interfolio.
