anything? do they send emails about your future colleagues, orientation schedule et al. before the official contract arrives?

I received an email yesterday congratulating me and informing me that they are sending some paperwork my way. It showed the email addresses of all the new residents, but not their names. I was worried all night that I was going to get a call from my PD while I was out...ahem...celebrating.

Apparently there is an NRMP rule that the programs can't send out any paperwork until tomorrow. And since tomorrow is Saturday, the official stuff will come in on Mon.
I never got any calls from anyone. A customary e-mail but nothing else.

Customary emails from both the programs I matched (gas + prelim). Then today I got an email from my prelim asking us to formulate our schedule requests for next year. I can't believe this time has finally arrived. Crazy!

I got a welcome email with a lot of useful information, such as a list of paperwork that would need to be completed by certain deadlines, an order form for lab coats, and the names and email addresses of my colleages. We have also been receiving emails listing the houses/condos that the senior class is attempting to sell and contact info for a realtor that has been really good to incoming residents in the past.

I've only made contact with one of my soon-to-be colleages, but that's because he was at match day with me.

I matched at UPMC.

Chair of selection committee called on Match Day at about 1245 - and mentioned he wanted to say congrats and welcome "before I got wrapped up in other things" (and wrapped I was!). We got a welcome email from the program coordinator, just explaining that we're gonna get slammed w/paperwork. Welcome email from one of the associated PDs that basically said we start orientation on June 16th....

I got an e-mail with a list of my fellow future classmates, and a fedex'ed t-shirt with a note saying I'll get the contract in early April.

Haven't heard a thing from my prelim.

Got a Fed Ex package today: a coffee mug, a tee-shirt, a hat, and a car sticker all with the school logo. Also got lots of documents to sign and Fed Ex back. Also got a contact sheet with names of my future colleagues.

just an email letting me rank my order of preference for my intern year (the program matches 10 categoricals and 10 advanced): im, peds, im/peds, or peds/im. we also have the option of choosing to go elsewhere for intern year if we matched categorical but i'd rather not move twice.

It's really touching to see so many of you guys' responses! Guess programs handle this differently. I haven't heard anything from either my Gas program or the Transitional year program yet. Sent email to them last Friday, wait and see tomorrow...

OK so it's already been 8 days since Match Day and I already have my paperworks for my PGY-1 year, but no word yet from my anesthesia program. Is this normal? I did sent my PD an email last week. I figure I don't start there until July 2010 so maybe they're in no rush either.

I got a t-shirt from my anesthesia folks, but no paperwork.

Did get a contract but no "packet" from the prelim.

I'm guessing there's no huge rush on the anesthesia front-- we've got a while.

OK, I think we all might have worried too much for getting no/little response from the programs. My TY program emailed me about specific requests for the electives (wow, this early!!). My Gas program coordinator said that they will send me paper work next January. Nothing needs to be done at this point.
My friends, just relax and enjoy the few good days before intern year starts!🙂
