Just curious if anyone had heard from Shenandoah about interview invites yet. They were a little vague in their email about when we should expect to hear back, so I wanted to see if anyone has heard from them yet! Thanks!

I just got rejected by them lol

What was the reason? Mind showing your stats?

I applied and got an email on 10/24 saying:

"
On behalf of the Admissions Committee at Shenandoah University's Division of Physical Therapy (SUPT), I would like to inform you that your application for entry into the SUPT Class of 2020 has been forwarded to the Committee for full review.

Following the application review process, we will invite selected applicants to our on-site interviews. As a reminder, our interview dates this year are Friday, December 16th and Saturday, December 17th. We encourage you to keep your schedules open on those dates since some interview invitations may not be extended until November."

So sorry to hear that!

Good morning!

When did you send in the application?

I haven't even received the email about the application getting sent to the committee for review... this wait is so nerve racking... has everyone else received notice of this?

I received that same email 8/30/16 about it being forwarded for full review. (I submitted my app pretty early) but still haven't heard anything either way. Just wanted to see if anyone else had!
Sorry to hear that Dinked!

I received the full review email on September 12th and submitted it on August 26th. I too have not heard anything else.

I definitely hope they get back to us soon. None of the schools have gotten back to me yet. I didn't submit until 9/22 though.

So I got 2 emails from them. First one was october 18th saying they received my application and would let me know when it was sent for full review. Then the full review one I got on the 24th.

I E-submitted mine on 9/02 and it was verified on 9/14. So i had to wait a month before I even got the email saying they received it.

If anyone got these two emails, specifically the one saying it is sent to the committee for full review, thats a good sign 🙂

got email for full review on the 25th! anxiously awaiting email about interview

I haven't heard back either and got the "under review" email about a month ago. Anyone else heard anything?

I emailed them yesterday. They just responded saying that there were over 900 applicants and still going through them all. Hopefully they send out the second email soon.

I was rejected because I was over the 10 year limit on some pre-reqs, I spoke to the admissions lady and she said back almost 9 months ago that this wouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't have even applied there if I knew this was the case, but she assured me it would be ok, and then came back and said the adcom said no. So I asked her I would like my fees refunded LOL

Wow, sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can get your fees returned. How many prereqs were past the 10 year limit? Also, was the 10 year limit based on time of application or when you start the program?

Sorry to hear that. Did they say it would be possible to retake some and reapply? Wishing you better luck with the other schools you applied to.

I highly doubt i'll get the fees refunded but i'm not even worried about that. She dropped the ball on that and it is what it is. My gripe is ya i get it a 10 year limit is a 10 year limit but there should be some exceptions. For example myself after undergrad I went to grad school and received a M.S in Toxicology. some of the classes I took were advanced analytical chemistry and advanced organic chem, both of which I got A's in. Did a master's thesis, wrote journal articles and was published in peer received journal articles, went to national Toxicology conferences to give talks, yet they are going to out weigh all that because I took Chem101 over 10 years ago (11 years btw).

So i told her by me accomplishing all of that I had to have knowledge from Chem101 as a building block, but even with my current knowledge and a Master's degree which is alot less than 10 years ago, working as a professional etc none of that is as important as a Chem101 class that's under 10 years......Ya that makes sense.

I got an email on Saturday saying I got an interview

Did they give you a specific time to let them know if you accept the interview offer or not?

For the people that received the interviews, when did you submit the application?

For those who were accepted for an interview, was it for the Friday or Saturday time?

I didn't get an email from them either. I know it's off topic for this discussion's title, but has anyone who applied to Emory and Henry heard anything? I see that this day last year, Nov 9th, someone already had received an interview.

I applied to Emory and Henry. The only email I received from them is the first one saying the application is verified and will be received beginning in November. I believe they did have early decision admissions due back in beginning of September which is why some people received notices already.

has anyone gotten the follow up email with additional info for the interview?

Just an update with some great news! I just received an email today from Shenandoah with an interview offer!
