Has anyone heard from UCONN?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I was complete 11/13 and had my interview 1/9. And I'm in-state.

praying mantis- how did it go? i am really interested in this school, but am a NJ resident.

Hi Ciardeme,

I received an interview invitation a few weeks after my application was complete, and I received a decision letter exactly one month after my interview.

The interview day is very relaxed; they make a genuine and obvious effort to put you at ease! One student interview, followed by an interview with a faculty member/ administrator. At the very beginning of the day, the Dean of Admissions sits with the entire group for a chat, to become acquainted, and he touches base with each applicant individually at the end of the day.

I sent in my secondary mid-september and just interviewed there this week. they have 40 dental and 80 med students taking the basic sciences together. the surrounding area is very charming w/ a lot of colonial and victorian houses and small towns that are all connected. obviously, I'm waiting on word post-interview.

I'm STILL waiting word on my application after being complete for months.. I'm out of state and still waiting....

Hey, all. I'm an out of state applicant to UCONN and I interviewed there on December 3. WEll, I thought everything went quite well, but I just got my rejection letter today. I'm a little disappointed, but OK. I know it's very hard to get in out of state. WEll, I just wanted to let you know that they are making decisions.

I sent in my secondary around October 20th and received an interview invite a month later. They let you chose either Monday, Wednesday of Friday for your interview. They really go out of their way to put you at ease and make you feel welcome.
It's probably not the best place for the hard driving competitive types since UConn really stresses their collegial atmosphere, no grades etc.
After the interview they told us we should expect a decision within 2 months.

hey guys -

i interviewed there 1/7 and they told everyone that it would be about two months until they get to us. im in-state as well.

good luck to the rest of you 😉
