YEAH...I GOT ACCEPTED! NOT SO EXCITED THOUGH 'CUZ MY 1ST CHOICE IS USC....STILL WAITING

when did u hear from them

I am wondering...😕 What is so good about USC? I hear it on this board and friends, they all want to go to USC!!!+pissed+ +pissed+

DOOD! Chill...UOP is a great school (despite the recent board results). USC has a national reputation, that could be part of it. Honestly, UOP doesn't quite have the name recognition outside of Cali that USC has. USC also has, by nature of its being a major health sciences institution, unique curricular offerings that other Cali schools may not have (besides UCSF). There are probably many other very good reasons (academic reputation, success on the CABOP exam, etc), but that's what I've got off the top of my head.

Besides...
UOP is in Stockton 😳

Just kidding, they're both great programs! Congratulations on getting into the UOP program, EarlyEditionDude!

I agree both are great programs. But is USC's PharmD program 3 years like UOP?

Nah, it's four. I couldn't handle the 3 yr pharmacy school bong.

I agree btw that UOP is an excellent school. It's not for me, but i know many great pharmacists from uop that have impressed me to no end. My only negative generalization i would make about uop pharmacists is their management skills have not impressed me, but that is something that is amenable to devoting time on your own to develop.

SC has an amazing curriculum when it comes to the professional aspects of the field. They take the teaching of students so f'in seriously. They integrate a lot of real-world successes into the curriculum. Clinical pharm began at SC and the pharmacoeconomic policy institute is the best.

The faculty, staff, and students have a spooky devotion to the school. It's pretty cool. They're way into the networking thing, which can be annoying, but i'm learning to tolerate it.

It's waaaaaaaay cool.
