has anyone taken upper divs the fall after submitting their app?

assuming that you apply around June when the apps open - has anyone successfully carried out finishing the (sometimes) required 1 or 2 upper divs (ex: biochem, anatomy, etc) and got an acceptance? I know that technically fall is the last quarter/semester, but what if we are talking required science courses

my gpa is borderline and hoping to get it bumped up by the end of fall but im thinking it may be too late as schools usually give out interviews sept
