Many people have. If you are looking for a physician yourself you can try www.aoa-net.org

If you have a more specific question it may be easier to help you.

My brother is in DO school and works on me quite a bit. I usually get my upper and lower back aligned and my neck, as well.

i saw a DO during my first year as an undergrad--back when i didn't know such a physician existed--and was pretty weirded out the first time when he (an older dude) started feeling my back up. haha. i called my dad after and was like 'wtf was that about?' (found out my grandpa (md) hired DOs above MDs for his small practice in iowa because he liked their omm ability). it would have been better if the physician had explained to me what he was doing so my teenage-female-self-conscious self wouldn't wonder what was going on.

I had a DO work on me after a car accident. Beyond helping my cervical injury, he was one of the most genuine, pleasant docs I've seen.

The D.O. I shadow did OMM on me my after a car accident and was the first one to suggest the osteopathic path to me, I couldn't ask for a better mentor.

One of the best things about going to a DO school is that you can have this done on you anytime-- for free. You know, when you're up late studying and fall asleep reading, and the next morning you can barely rotate your head because of the pain. You run up to the third floor. If one of the docs isn't there (which is rare) there's always a student or OMM club member up there willing to work on you. Yes, the doctors are the best at it, but you'd be surprised how many times you'll have a student palpate you and tell you something in particular is wrong. S/he might not know how to fix it for sure, but the doc will confirm it later. What does that tell me? That somatic disfunctions can be palpated and "read" just like a radiograph-- and without the added expense. One of our docs works in a family medicine group practice with a bunch of MDs. He's the only DO in the group and the highest paid too, simply because of the addition of OMM to his arsenal of treatments. Obviously, a lot of people think it does wonders for them.
