I have a question and since this is a Derm. forum. I would like to know what can I do with my problem with Biols? I have a boil as big as a plum on my thigh. This is an ongoing problem I have, I always have some form of a boil on my thigh area. Could this be a major problem? What causes boils to form on a regular basis for me?

boils must be treated with incision and drainage (oral antibiotics should be given too, but are not sufficient). If you are getting recurrent boils, I'd reccomend seeing an allergist/immunologist for an immunological work up. If you are shaving your legs, that and poor hygeine could be the culprit as furnuncle's usually form from hair follicles. I'd see a doctor right away to take care of your current boil (the ER can take care of it), and speak to your doctor about why you're getting recurrent ones.
