Hello everyone,

I plan on using a 4-month schedule to study for the MCAT starting in January 6. I have all the materials ready to start, but wanted to know any advice on what to do till then. I would not mind brushing up on physics and chem since they were my weakest subjects, but would like to do it without using my review books. Any advice from future and past test takers on what they did or wished they did before they started to study for the mcat?

Thanks

I don't personally find it helpful, but you could listen to EK Audio Osmosis. A lot of my friends used it and liked it. Different strokes.

Start early. Take the moth to start VR ( 1 passage a day)
Slowly read ( 1-2 chaps a week) through material you know you will have a hard time with ex. orgo rxns, physiology, physics, etc.

Thanks for the replies. Audio osmosis was interesting, maybe I can find it somewhere for cheap. I was also thinking of checking out some physics & chem books from the school library.

Actually, if you don't mind having a couple sections missing, I've seen the tracks on Grooveshark! Free > cheap, right? 😀👍

I don't know about you personally but the number one thing that people wish they had started earlier is usually Verbal. It takes a lot of time to get good and if you put if off you wont see as high of results as if you had started earlier. So maybe start getting some passages in now and build it up as you go so you have a head start. Might make that point or two of difference that helps you out.
